Simple Status Monitoring - All DEHN surge protectors feature a single long life LED on the front cover. The use of a single indicator eliminates any confusion among untrained personnel. The LED is normally lit. If any internal component should fail on the surge protector (relays, MOV modules, fuses), the LED will extinguish. Form C dry contacts are provided for remote monitoring.

Comprehensive Diagnostics - Opening the hinged cover reveals a clear Lexan® dead front cover. Individual green/red status indicator flags are integrated into all MOV modules, and provide correct indication of module status regardless of whether power is applied.

Easy foolproof component replacement - Should a MOV module indicate failure, it can be easily unplugged and replaced with a new module without tools and without removal of the dead front cover. The replacement modules are keyed to the base according to voltage, eliminating the possibility of installing a new module with the wrong voltage rating.

Should a fuse require replacement, a finger safe fuse holder provides for removal of the fuses without tools, exposure of live contacts, or removal of the dead front cover.

Ease of system testing Insulation (Megger®) testing requires that all clamping type surge protectors be disconnected during the test. The finger-safe fuse holders provide a safe and effective disconnect for system tests.
